Trigger Finger

Trigger finger is a condition in which a finger or thumb catches in a bent position. Trigger finger is caused by a narrowing of the sheath that surrounds the tendon in the affected finger; it is often painful. A finger or thumb may straighten with a snap, hence its name, like a trigger being pulled and released.

Treatment of trigger finger varies depending on the severity; Dr. Hirsh, Dr. Singh, Dr. Kapelow, Javier Chiriboga, and Physician Assistant Evan Abramsky are specialists in the diagnosis and treatment of trigger finger.
