Responsibilities

  • Facilitates employee engagement opportunities to support our company culture and promote an environment of inclusivity, collaboration, positivity, and teamwork.
  • Provides assistance, guidance, and enforcement to employees and managers with questions regarding company policies and practices 
  • Creates and maintains separate tracking and filing (case management process) for investigations, disciplinary activities, or incidents that arise whether through regular communication channels in the organization or anonymous.
  • Recognizes sensitive, complex, and urgent employee relations issues and takes appropriate action, including providing sound guidance on a resolution.
  • Assists in the recruitment and hiring of new employees.
  • Onboards all new employees and oversees the termination process   
  • Tracks employees’ work hours, PTO, and compliance bonus 
  • Administers ADP timeclock 
  • Monitors and prepares biweekly payroll and related documents 
  • Updates and maintains Employee Manual 
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance 
  • Organizes and submits paperwork for employee benefits including 401(k), health and dental insurance, group disability, and ancillary insurances; this includes meeting annually with various benefit vendors to review changes 
  • Maintains master employee information lists and all employee documentation to ensure licensing is current 
  • Answers all HR-related and benefit employee questions
  • Completes monthly OIG employee searches 
  • Tracks and pays memberships for providers 
  • Schedules annual compliance training for the team 
  • Reconciles pays, and documents bills relating to benefit administration
  • Completes reports and reviews trends as it relates to employee engagement, hiring, and retention 
  • Develops and maintains relationships with benefits management and payroll vendors
  • Conducts prompt, thorough, neutral, accurate, and defensible workplace investigations into allegations of misconduct, including but not limited to harassment, (including sexual harassment), discrimination, retaliation, insubordination, workplace violence, substance abuse, safety and security violations, and violations of company policy or procedure. Will be expected to conduct high-level workplace investigations in short timeframes ranging from simple to complex issues and escalating significant issues to the leadership team or CEO 
  • Attends yearly conferences as it relates to the position 
  • Reports to the Chief Operations Officer.       

Skills/Experience 

  • 3 years proven work experience as an HR Specialist or HR Generalist, experience in a healthcare setting preferred  
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Thorough understanding of state and federal laws concerning labor relations
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies
  • Thorough understanding of EEOC, ADA, HIPAA, OSHA, and other human resource-related topics
  • Comprehensive understanding of dispute resolution and excellent documentation.
  • Ability to remain tactful, calm, and persuasive in controversial and/or confrontational situations
  • Solid computer skills in a PC-working environment including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
